Gizem Taştemel Dinçkan and Serhat Tümüklü from Cerebra attended GIR Live: Global Investigations Summit 2026, held in Madrid from 30 September to 2 October 2026.
Organized by Global Investigations Review (GIR), the event brought together legal, compliance and investigations professionals from different jurisdictions to discuss current developments and practices in corporate investigations and financial crime.
Over two days of discussions, key topics included cross-border enforcement and investigations, managing multi-jurisdictional matters, financial crime, the impact of artificial intelligence on investigations, cyber threats, and emerging corporate risks. The importance of effective coordination among legal, compliance, forensic and technology teams in increasingly complex cross-border investigations was also a recurring theme.
The event also provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives with investigations professionals from different jurisdictions. Our discussions also touched on the growing role of corporate intelligence in investigations and the use of OSINT and HUMINT, particularly in supporting cross-border investigations.
At Cerebra, we were pleased to take part in this important event, keeping abreast of developments in international investigations, reconnecting with colleagues across the global investigations community, and building new professional connections.
